7th World Bulk Wine Exhibition 2015

The biggest wine fair worldwide in terms of business transactions was held on 23-24 November 2015 in Amsterdam. The 7th edition World Bulk Wine Exhibition saw an increase of 15% in participation. Over the last two days, Amsterdam became the world’s wine capital and the major meeting point for the wine industry. Wine-makers, purchasers and professionals from 66 different nationalities gathered together with one goal: to do business.

IBL Flexitank is one of the exhibitors and is the 2nd consecutive year participating in this event. Representing the company to attend the event was the Managing Director, Dato’ Chan Kong Yew, Technical Director, Mr. Teo Guan Kee, the Sales Manager, Mr. Cheah Tan Foong, and the Technical Engineer, Mr. Cheng Yoon Thean.

Throughout the 2 days event, the booth was visited by more than 300 visitors. The event gave a great platform for the team to meet up with the Europe existing and potential customers. The team had the opportunity to introduce Infinity’s very own WineTank to more than 200 wineries from 20 countries which took part this year: Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, China, the United States, Spain, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Malaysia, Moldavia, Portugal, South Africa and New Zealand. These countries focus more than 85% of the global supply for bulk wine export.

“This is a very good event which we can have a face to face discussion with shippers and consignees about their packaging and logistics requirement, and to handle the whole supply chain for them. This event truly brings us to the next level of bulk wine industry.” said Cheah, Sales Manager of IBL Flexitank.

Overall, the 7th World Bulk Wine Exhibition was a great takeaway for team IBL. The sales lead and enquiries the event has reaped out well for the team and will see forth that the company’s logistics solutions are able to penetrate into the Europe wineries market. The aim is that Infinity WineTank will soon be the preferred choice for bulk wine transportation.
